Corrections
If a State Pension weekly rate, Annual Allowance, voluntary NI threshold, calculator result, or ranking on PlainPension looks wrong, report it with enough detail to reproduce the page and compare it with the DWP rate-uprating order, HMRC Pensions Tax Manual, MoneyHelper guidance, or FCA Handbook paragraph you think we should match. The same process is documented in our editorial and corrections policy.
How to report
- Report. Email hello@plainpension.co.uk or use the contact page with the page URL, the figure that looks off, and what you think it should be.
- Source. Include a link to the gov.uk State Pension service, the HMRC Pensions Tax Manual paragraph, a MoneyHelper article, an FCA Handbook reference, or another primary source you think we should match.
- Scope. Say whether the issue is a raw statutory rate, a derived calculator projection, a labeled estimate, or a stale tax-year / data-vintage badge.
What happens next
We verify reports against the published source and correct confirmed issues in the canonical database or pipeline so affected pages and calculators update together. Material fixes are noted on the public data changelog, which already records the June 2026 State Pension rate correction, the lost-pensions figure refresh, and earlier integrity repairs. PlainPension is an informational UK pension reference, not financial, tax, or pension advice.
When the figure is correct on our side but the upstream DWP rate order or HMRC manual has not yet been updated, we will say so and point you to the official record. We mirror published statutory instruments and guidance; we cannot rewrite a DWP rate order or HMRC paragraph on their behalf.
For how figures are derived, see the methodology page. For publisher accountability, see About PlainPension.
